Lin Klaassen from Face Reading by Lin will be facilitating an interactive session outlining key facial features of each event participant. Lin has been on Fox 2 news, the Gil Deacon Show and lectured for thousands over the years.

Rev. & Medium Elizabeth Brown will be present to do her famous Flower Message Readings.

Energy Worker and Massage Therapist, Margaret Zalac, owner of Healing Hands Have no Boundaries, will be conducting relaxing, healing energy work on each individual.

Psychologist and Mind-Body-Spirit therapist, Deborah Bogle, founder of Helping Hearts Heal, will be conducting a group session on ”Opening the Heart” and helping others to trust themselves, Spirit, and others on a deeper, genuine level. She will be doing guided meditations and clearing energy work (Chinese Energetic Medicine and Zpoint Processing).

I had an emergency cesarean birth for my first son nearly three years ago, and I still had a lot of anger, sadness, and other emotions from that experience. I am pregnant with my second child now, and in preparing for this birth I really wanted to find some peace and let go of the pain and anger from my first birth experience.

What did Deborah do to assist with this problem?

Deborah used the EMDR technique with me, which is a system of pulses that somehow helps your brain to release emotions more quickly and thoroughly. I came to our session prepared with the specific moments from my experience that were most traumatic for me and the emotions connected with that. When I first arrived at Deborah’s office we spent a few minutes talking about my experience and then she had me go back the that moment and try to recall, silently, as many details as possible.

After a minute or so she asked me to tell her what I remembered. We continued to do that until I reached a positive memory, which was the moment I saw my son for the first time, and she told me to think about that memory for a few minutes and remember all of those details to seal that into my memory.

After I had gone through every detail of that experience, Deborah asked me how upsetting it was to think about now, and I was amazed to discover that I did not feel upset at all. I still remembered everything that had happened, but I now saw that the operation was a necessary experience to get me to the beautiful moment of meeting my son. It actually became a positive experience for me. I had a sense of peace about the birth experience, and an understanding that no one was to blame.

Deborah was very sensitive and insightful. I felt that she really understood where I was coming from, even with only a short amount of time together. I found her very easy to trust and open up to.

What specific benefits did you derive from working with Deborah?

Before meeting with Deborah, thinking or talking about my son’s birth was upsetting. It would often make me cry or become angry. After one session with Deborah I could think about and talk about my son’s birth without becoming upset. I was able to clear away the anger and pain stemming from the disappointment and trauma of that experience. I still remember everything that happened vividly, but I have a sense of peace and understanding that I never thought possible. I really have been able to put it behind me now.

While we worked to clear the negative emotions, Deborah helped me to seal the positive feelings from the experience. By clearing away those negative feelings, now the joyous memories from my son’s birth are more vivid. When I think about his birth now, I feel happy and remember the euphoria of meeting him for the first time.

I didn’t even realize how much those negative emotions and anger had affected my life and my relationships until I was able to release them. I walked out of that session feeling so free, like a huge weight had been lifted.

How quickly did you see and/or experience (feel) these benefits?

In one session I was able to clear the trauma. I never imagined that would have been possible in one session. I wish I had done it sooner. It was so effective that I returned for a second session to address some other traumas in my life.

Did you find other areas in which more subtle results were noted - possibly your personal relationships, business, professional life, finances, health, spirituality?

Clearing away the pain and anger from this experience had a dramatic affect on my relationships, especially with my husband. Deborah helped me to realize through this session that he was not to blame, and that the experience was difficult for him too. Clearing the anger and blame has brought us closer together. We communicate much better and argue less, overall we have a much happier and loving relationship. I didn’t even realize how much it had become between us until the anger was gone. How this session restored our marriage was priceless.

In general, how did Deborah affect your life in a positive manner?

I had tried traditional therapy to help me let go of the pain from my birth experience and to work on my relationships, with little success. Working with Deborah I was able to clear away the negative emotions from my traumatic experience and really move on. I now have a stronger marriage and fewer arguments with my family and friends. The beauty of my son’s birth is no longer clouded by negative emotions, and I am able to plan for my next birth experience without fear or baggage from my previous experience.

If you had two sentences to describe working with Deborah and the value she added to your life, what would they be?

Working with Deborah, I was able to clear the pain from my trauma incredibly fast and effectively. It is hard to believe it is possible, but I experienced it for myself. Being freed of this burden has improved my relationships, and made me a happier person.

No more will I let traumatic experiences impact my life as they did for the past three years. Now I know how quickly Deborah can help me clear them.

In my sense of individuality I know that I am undivided from the Whole.  And knowing I am undivided from the whole, I proclaim that all of my needs are met on every level of my existence.  There is divine peace.  There is divine order.  There is abundance, health, vitality, safety, and security.  There is harmony and creativity.  I am bold enough to accept this.  I am confident enough to witness to the presence of the living God within and around me.  This is the Reality upon which I rely, knowing that it transcends any paradigms of lack, limitation, and not enoughness.  The divine life that I am transcends all diagnosis and prognosis.  I begin again, right now, and step into Reality.

I honor the integrity of my spirit and court the best that is yet to come, the next stage in my evolution.  I accept that it is safe to embrace and express my Authentic Self.  Into the field of the sacred ‘yes’, my every cell, every organ, every action and function of my body, mind and spirit is made whole.  All of my relationships are shot through with unconditional love, compassion, joy, and purpose.

Discipline becomes a blissapline because I realize it leads to my ultimate freedom.  During good times and challenging times, I meditate without attachment to the fruits of my practice.  Whether peace or restlessness is the undercurrent of my practice, it is my offering of love to the Spirit.  I sit and practice for the love of it, not simply to gain merit or experience a spiritual high.  I meditate to walk through the door of freedom and know that I am welcomed by an all-loving Presence.

I go forth and joyously play my part without attachment to the fruits of my actions.  I offer them to the Spirit as an act of love.  I bow before the Reality of the life that is within me, beating my heart, breathing my breath, moving me from one place to another.  For this and so much more, I am so utterly grateful and simply allow it to be.”

Within this book, Dr. Beckwith discusses the difference between “change” and “transformation”.  He states that, “Change occurs when something shifts in our consciousness along with a corresponding change in our behavior.”  Stopping an addiction, and no longer yielding to the familiar, compulsive “pull” of it, is an example of a person implementing change within his or her life.  However, he reminds us in this chapter that if we “regress in consciousness, old patterns may reassert themselves.  Therefore, change is not permanent, nor is it transformation.  Transformation includes change, but change does not include transformation.”   He explains this concept further by stating how “change has its limits since it stems from human will, while transformation is limitless since it stems from an evolving discovery and expression of the Authentic Self.”  (Spiritual Liberation, pg. 29) So, it seems that the main difference between change and transformation is how change can be in a state of flux with both high points and low points (i.e., the economy), whereas transformation is about evolving, movement, discovery and true expression.  There seems to be strength within transformation, along with the quality of assurance.  It seems to be more foundational and of greater substance than change yet simultaneously moving and evolving.  It is definitely more expansive and REAL.

Therefore, if someone is trying to convince another that he or she has “changed”, perhaps the clue of the truth is in the word “convince”.  If transformation has taken place, there would be no need to “try to convince”.  With the process of transformation, the person would just be different, along with his or her actions, vibration level, thoughts, words, deeds and mindset.  This would become obvious in one’s daily living in how he or she treated others and also themselves.  When an individual can love themselves and then, in turn, love others, there will be no room or place for addictive, hurtful acts (toward self or others).  Thus, we move into internal peace and, eventually, into world peace.

My loving, supportive challenge for the growth and development of your soul is for you to decide if you desire change within your life or transformation. Within the last 18 years of my professional practice as a therapist in the field of psychology, I have come to see that many people truly desire transformation but settle for change.  This “settling” might stem from the fear or resistance in allowing their Authentic Self to be revealed to others (and sometimes even themselves) due to past disappointments, hurts, betrayals and abuse.  Also, the question of “Who am I, really?” can be another significant block toward allowing transformation for one’s soul and within one’s life.  I can be of professional assistance in determining the answers to this question and to release and permanently clear the mentioned above Authentic Self blocks.

An example of big “T” trauma would be sexual, mental, verbal or physical abuse in one’s life; robbery, accident, or military involvement. An example of little “t” trauma includes fear of flying, public speaking, fear of heights, and test taking.

Experience in the psychology field has proven to Deborah that time alone does not heal such issues.
